The development of a philosophy of leadership through the examination of biblical principles and practical methods. A mental model for leadership is developed and practical applications are discussed. REQUIRED FOR M.A.MIS., C.MIS.– 2 Credit Hours

MS6533 DEALING WITH SPIRITUAL STRONGHOLDS
The biblical strategy for dealing with spiritual strongholds is developed. The principles learned are applied by the students in his/her personal life and then in helping others find freedom in Christ. REQUIRED FOR M.A.M. - Two Credit Hours

MS6534 THE CHARACTER OF A MISSIONARY
A through examination of biblical passages regarding the requirements of a spiritual leader. The character and perspectives of the apostle Paul are studied in detail. A grid is developed for personal evaluation and used in outlining a personal character development plan. REQUIRED FOR M.A.M.M., M.A.MIS., C.MIS., C.M.M. - Two Credit Hours

MS6535 WORLD RELIGIONS AND CULTS
A study of the basic features of animistic societies. Among others, witchcraft, rituals, magic, ancestor worship and dynamism are considered in relation to planting of indigenous churches. A study and evaluation of the major world religions and pseudo-Christian cults, including Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Roman Catholicism, Latter Day Saints, Jehovah’s Witnesses, the New Age Movement, and the Word-Faith Movement. MS6800 CHURCH REVITALIZATION & MISSIONS
(Same as PT5800) A neglected part of the mission of the church is ministering to weakening parts of the Body. Paul suggested the need to “strengthen the churches” and that is what revitalization is all about . . . seeing the ‘declining’ church re-enforced, re-focused, and re-energized in obedience to biblical principles. MS6633 TEACHING ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
A survey of the basic principles of teaching English to speakers of other languages with supervised opportunities for developing skills. - Two Credit Hours

MS6653 INTRODUCTION TO ISLAM
A study of the life of Muhammad, the Koran and what Muslims believe and practice. Areas of encounter with biblical teaching will be highlighted and discussed. - Two Credit Hours

MS6654 CHINESE RELIGIONS
A study of Buddhism, Taoism, and Chinese traditional religions, with particular attention to their present practices and Christian responses. - Two Credit Hours

MS6656 THIRD WORLD PERSPECTIVES
A summary of the general central world views affecting the socioeconomics, politics, and theology of Asia, Africa, and Latin America with reference to their effect on church planting and church growth in each respective area. - Two Credit Hours
